| 1966 Dodge
Coronet 500 with a 426 cu. in. HEMI is owned by Bill Collopy
of Chicago, IL.
It has two four barrel's, four speed, PS and an AM radio. The car is in
excellent stock condition. The engine and all the mechanics were rebuilt
last spring at a cost of over 10k. The engine dynoed at over 525 hp after a
bare block rebuild. The only things that were changed from original were
the starter, clutch and ignition. I added a Mallory Comp starter, an electronic
ignition and a Center Force clutch. I have the original parts. I replaced the
exhaust system with a 2 1/2" Tube Technology system using Comp mufflers.
This system was engineered for this car and is stock appearing and sounds great! I
had the original exhaust manifolds ceramic coated inside and out. Original four
speed and Dana 3:54 Sure Grip. The exterior is buffed silver with a
black vinyl top. Interior is black vinyl.I have two sets of tires and wheels.
One set are the original style Blue Streak 14" bias ply with the
original full disc hubcaps and the other set are 15" radials with steel
wheels painted body color and dog dish hub caps. This car was certified as a
real Hemi car by Galen Govier. It is an excellent driver and very strong runner.
No leaks, no squeaks or rattles. A real piece of muscle car history that keeps
going up in value. First year for the legendary street HEMI !
